CNC Setup Technician

Apply if you are a CNC Setup Technician who can help our production team. In this role, you will be primarily working under senior CNC Machinist, reading engineering drawings, setting up tools and machines, adjusting setups, assisting in problem solving, maintaining equipment and machines in a professional manner, maintaining safe operations according to safety procedures and regulations, running manual operations on parts, and assisting a team to finalize and complete a project.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Set up tooling fixtures on the equipment

  • Set up and operate CNC lathes and milling machines

  • Examine “out of tolerance” conditions and make adjustments

  • Identify, select, and prepare tooling and set up methods to produce parts

  • Cut parts for machines as assigned

  • Ability to read and modify programs

  • Revises programs and technical drawings to eliminate errors

  • Interpret and understand drawing specifications

  • Inspect and measure finished products to ensure conformance

  • Collaborate with other team members to resolve machining challenges

  • Record challenges in setting up situations to improve future changeovers

  • Must be able to lift heavy objects (30-50 lbs) and must be able to stand a full shift

  • Assist in machinery maintenance

  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety producers and regulations

  • Maintain manufacturing equipment/tooling in accordance with the maintenance system

  • Completion of legible and accurate paperwork

  • Assist with other manufacturing responsibilities as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • High school/college diploma or equivalent required

  • Minimum 1 year of experience setting up CNC equipment

  • Ability to read directions, job orders, blueprints, and specifications

  • Experience in setting up fixtures and tooling

  • Passion about prototyping and machining

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Self-disciplined and self-motivated

  • Organizational skills and the ability to multi-task

  • Ability to solve problems in a professional manner

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

  • Have great commination skills (Verbal and Written)

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for a long period of time, 80%-90% of the time is spent sanding

  • Must be able to frequently move about the cell (workspace) to access moving parts and machinery, etc.

  • Frequently relocate parts and equipment weighting between 10 pounds up to 50 pounds at various time

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Junior Field Service Technician

Are you ready for a new and exciting adventure? Our company is looking for a collaborative and self-motivated Junior Field Service Technician to join our dynamically growing team. You will be assisting and supporting our company’s products by providing technical expertise for installation, repair, and maintenance for our line of Vertical Form, Fill and Seal packaging and auxiliary equipment. In this role, you’ll be primarily assisting and supporting our clients across the continental USA. Ideal candidates will live in Wisconsin.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in providing customer site start-up and commissioning equipment

  • Assisting in performing repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment

  • Assisting in coordinating with the factory to retrofit any parts or assembly on site

  • Assisting in troubleshooting electrical/mechanical issues that may arise on the equipment due to shipping/other factors

  • Assisting in representing the company in meetings with a customer installation team

  • Assisting in providing training to customer personnel on the usage and maintenance of the equipment

  • Assisting in providing re-training on software or machinery and identifying problems that affect customer productivity

  • Assisting in testing equipment

  • Assisting in crating and shipping machinery

  • Assisting in maintaining spare parts lists

  • Work with a Senior Service Technician to increase productivity

  • Be punctual, organized, and professional to increase productivity

  • Have critical thinking ability to come up with solutions/alternatives when needed

  • Other duties as assigned by the leading Service Technician

Job Requirements

  • College diploma/ degree in the related fields (Electronics, Electro/Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Practical Experience)

  • Experience working with VFFS equipment/similar packaging equipment

  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with PLCs, servo motor, and Control

  • Computer software knowledge, proficient PC and Microsoft Office skills

  • Solid customer service skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent problem solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills

  • Organized and project driven

  • Strong multi-tasker

  • Ability to drive forklift

Travel:

  • Must have clean criminal record for international travel

  • Must have a valid passport and able to travel to Canada and overseas without any restrictions

  • Must have a valid driver’s license with no restriction

  • Must be able to travel up to 60% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Mechanical design of packaging equipment and general automation

  • Customization of equipment as per customer requirements

  • Design equipment using electromechanical components such as Servo Motors, gear boxes, pneumatics, linear actuators and more

  • Complete assigned projects on time

  • Comply with and contribute to best practices established by the company

  • Problem solve challenges as they arise with customer applications

  • Liaise with vendors with respect finding solutions for customer applications

  • Provide Bill of Materials and Manufacturing drawings for the project

  • Troubleshoot part manufacturing challenges with CNC technicians

  • Participate and contribute to project meetings with team members

Requirements

  • Successfully completed University Degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • Strong mechanical acumen

  • Must have experience with manufacturing of machined parts

  • Experience with equipment manufacturing or automation

  • Strong command of current engineering standards and practices

  • Knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication techniques

  • Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently

  • Fluent English language skills for speaking and writing

  • Must have a minimum of 5-7 years of related experience with the qualifications listed above
